According to the Public Relations Office of Mahva Entertainment Industries, the top award of the 4th “Tanzanite” International Animation Festival in Tanzania was presented to the feature animation “Legend of Sepehr.”

The closing ceremony of Tanzania’s most significant specialized animation festival was held on Saturday evening, November 28, 2025, during which the winners of this edition were announced. In this event, the Grand Prize for the “Feature Animation” category was awarded to the collaborative work of Emad Rahmani and Mehrdad Mehrabi, titled “Legend of Sepehr.”

In other categories, a diverse range of works from China, the United States, Russia, France, and Germany succeeded in earning top honors in fields such as “Student,” “2D,” “Short 2D,” “Stop-Motion,” and “Visual Effects.”

“Emilian Herua,” director of the international Tanzanite festival, described the event as an effective opportunity for competition and interaction among animation creators from around the world. He stated that in this edition, hundreds of submissions from more than 60 countries were received by the festival secretariat, and the three countries with the highest number of entries reaching the jury stage were Iran, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

The special award statuette for the animation “Legend of Sepehr” was presented by the festival organizers to Mohsen Ma'arafi, Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tanzania.

At the end of the event, “Legend of Sepehr,” presented with English dubbing, was screened as a special presentation of the festival and received enthusiastic praise from the audience.
